Abstract

|
Tuberculous cervical lymphadenitis (Scrofula) is an involvement of the cervical lymph nodes caused by Mycobacterium. Since the development of chemotherapy and the improvement of nutritional conditions, incidence of tuberculous diseases have
reduced.
None had evidence of active pulmonary tuberculosis in this report. The most valuable indications for cervical tuberculosis in this report were biopsy of neck mass. Treatment of scrofula consisted of surgical extirpation of node and
antituberculous
drugs
(isoniazid, rifampicin, ethambutol).
